The present invention relates to a method, a network and a system to efficiently 5 allocate the resources to each D2D pair present in the communication network by cheking the type of application to be used by the D2D pair and the amount of resources required for performing the application. In particular, based on the historic data of application usage, the system of present disclosure will assign certain priorities to the applications. Accordingly, the one or more cellular devices 10 will allocate the resources to each D2D pair for meeting the application requirement chosen by D2D pair. In this way, the throughput of the system will get improved and the interference will also get minimized.
