The invention discloses “An IoT-Enabled Off-Grid System for Precision Insect Monitoring with Adjustable Wavelength Illumination, Pheromone Attraction, and Acoustic Luring”, a cutting-edge solution for the management of insect populations in agricultural environments. This device is uniquely engineered to utilize solar energy, powering a sophisticated light system that emits various wavelengths specifically tailored to attract diverse insect types. It is equipped with pheromone tubes, enhancing its effectiveness in luring targeted pests. The incorporation of a DHT11/DHT22 sensor allows the device to record the temperature and humidity levels that are most conducive to attracting insects. An innovative feature of this system is the use of an infrared (IR) sensor, which meticulously counts the insects that have been neutralized by the electrified net, providing precise data for pest control analysis. Enhancing its functionality, the system includes wireless transmission capabilities, allowing for remote data access and control. This feature ensures real-time monitoring and adjustment, making the trap efficient in precision agriculture. Additionally, a cup anemometer has been integrated to calculate wind speed, which can affect insect behavior and trap efficiency. A soil moisture sensor is also included to record soil moisture and temperature, crucial data points for analyzing soil insect activity. To further improve the system’s luring capabilities, an acoustic speaker is used to emit specific frequencies that impact certain insects, adding another layer of precision to the pest management strategy. This automated, solar-powered system offers a sustainable and intelligent approach to pest management, aligning with the principles of precision agriculture.
