A livestock fence gate latch comprising: a mounting plate configured to be attached to a gate post; a cylindrical locking mechanism mounted on said mounting plate, wherein the cylindrical locking mechanism includes a rotating ring capable of engaging and disengaging with a latch hook; a latch hook mounted on an opposing gate section, designed to be secured by said cylindrical locking mechanism when the gate is in the closed position; wherein said cylindrical locking mechanism includes a spring-loaded mechanism to ensure secure locking of the gate.
