Air Filter for Potable Powered Air Purifying Respirator Abstract: This is a sub system designed and developed for Portable Air Purifying Respirator used by medical practitioners in hospitals. This sub system manages the filtering of air in PAPR and maintains the required cleaniness of air in the headgear unit of the system. This system consists of 5 layers of metriculously placed air filter layers , HEPA13 filter sandwiched between a HEPA12 and Carbon filter. One pre filter and one post filter is also placed on the outer sides of these filters. This filter combination prevents any sort of pathogens from entering into the head gear unit. This system has been deployed and tested in an hospital environment and the medical fraternity has given satisfactory feedback.
