Air Pump for Potable Powered Air Purifying Respirator Abstract: This is a sub system designed and developed for Portable Air Purifying Respirator used by medical practitioners in hospitals. This sub system manages the flow of air in PAPR and maintains the required positive air pressure throughout the system. This system consists of a radial head air blower type fan powered by a 60 watt rated DC motor. This system has been deployed and tested in an hospital environment and the medical fraternity has given satisfactory feedback.
