The present invention relates to a dual-ridged Vivaldi horn antenna designed for ultra-wideband (UWB) applications, covering a frequency range from 1 GHz to 18 GHz. The antenna comprises a pair of tapered radiating Vivaldi elements integrated with dual ridged sections that enhance impedance matching and improve gain performance across the entire bandwidth. The ridged structure minimizes signal reflection and return loss, ensuring efficient power transmission and consistent radiation patterns over L-band, S-band, X-band, and Ku-band frequencies. The antenna further includes an N-type waveguide connector optimized for minimal signal loss and high-power handling, making it suitable for a variety of applications, including telecommunications, radar systems, electronic warfare, and remote sensing. The compact and mechanically robust design allows for reliable operation in diverse environmental conditions, offering significant improvements in gain stability, ultra-wideband performance, and impedance matching over prior art designs.
