Floods impact on both individual communities and have social, economic and environmental consequences. The consequences of flood both negative and positive vary greatly depending upon the location, duration, depth and speed as well as the vulnerability and value of effected natural and constructed environment they effect. Floods can also traumatize victims and their family for a long period of time. So, the aim of the project is to focus on the sudden rising level of water. This project will consist of multi sensor system which will detect temperature, humidity, rainfall, level of water, turbulence, turbidity, speed of water or velocity of water. The main aim of the project ”SMART FLOOD VIGILATOR” is to update the metrological department about the coming floods so that the evacuation process can be implemented at the right time. The sensor will be placed at every tributary so that the disturbance in weather like change in temperature, humidity, level of water, speed and depth of water etc can be informed to the department at the early stage. The proposed solution will be used to ping the National Weather Service. The proposed solution consists of number of sensors which will continuously detect the parameters that are responsible for the flood. Any disturbance in the water body will be immediately informed to the concerned department and the people residing nearby would be aware about the coming flood at the early stage.
