The present invention is related to development of thermal comfort room, for testing prototype models for thermal insulation in housings, more particularly the present-day invention relates to study of thermal response studies for housing structures for different regions of the world. An aspect of the present disclosure relates to a system for testing technology for thermal comfort room. This system incorporates a space demarcated as thermal room, which is enveloped by different thermal insulating materials and is freely standing on 1" thick plyboard. The envelope is covering the base and the roof of the room. The room is standing on a steel bearing which allows it to be rotated, in different orientations in relative to the sun's direction of motion. The thermal comfort room is configured to capture the change in temperature, air velocity as well as humidity.
